Barbara R. (Murray) Grosberger

Barbara R. (Murray) Grosberger, age 92, of New Oxford, PA passed away peacefully on May 29, 2024 at Cross Keys Village – the Brethren Home Community in New Oxford. She was the loving wife of the late Daniel J. Grosberger who passed away on December 27, 2004; together they shared 41 years of marriage.

Barbara was born in Buffalo, NY on August 7, 1931 and was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Hawk) Murray. She worked as a teacher’s aide at Southern Middle School in Glen Rock and volunteered at the Collierville Police Department in Tennessee. Barbara was also an avid reader, and enjoyed bowling and golfing, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Barbara is survived by her children Daniel Grosberger, II, Linda Moulton, Kristin King, and Karen Vos; five grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Brian Murray; and her sister Beverly. Barbara was preceded in death by her son Douglas Fox; her daughter-in-law Sandra Grosberger; and her sister Betty Ingram.

A Memorial Service in celebration of Barbara’s life was held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., in Spring Grove, PA 17362. An Interment will be will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Evergreen Lawn Cemetery in Akron, NY.
