Alberta Baker went home to her Savior on September 17, 2022 at Lockport Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was born on June 6, 1928 to the late William and Jessie Lavinia (Ball) Whitlocke.
Alberta was a graduate of Akron Central High School. She became a dairy farmer’s wife when she married the late Gordon Baker. Together they worked the farm and raised their four children. She was a devote Christian who enjoyed teaching Sunday school and was well known for her many quilts and delicious birthday and wedding cakes.
Alberta is survived by her children, Karen (Robert) Kleparek,Nelson (Darlene) Baker, Bonnie (William) Frey, and Joyce Baker Rose; a sister, Anna (late Harold) Brandt; seven grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 3 step- great grandchildren and 9 nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, William Whitlocke and a sister, Margaret (John) Booth.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 24, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 12752 Lewis Road, Akron, NY 14001. Burial to follow at Pioneer Cemetery.
