Shirley Cummings

Shirley Ann Cummings went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2019. Shirley was born in Lockport on December 18,1937 to the late Floyd and Florence (Skeets) Bedford.

Shirley was a 1956 graduate of Akron Central Schools and a lifelong member of the Rapids Bible Church. She was married for over 25 years to the late Olen Cummings, who passed away on December 20, 1994. Her greatest joy was loving and taking care of her family.

Beloved mother of Brian (Mary) Cummings, Robert (Kim) Cummings, Lori (Russ) Fiebelkorn, Barb Cummings, Mike (Mine’) Cummings and Tim Cummings. Two sisters, Eva Fry and Betty Karcher; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive her. A sister, Gladys Vorholzer and grandson, Johnathan Fiebelkorn predecease her.

Friends and relatives, calling hours are from 4 pm to 8 pm on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue where a funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 10 am. The family would appreciate memorials made in Shirley’s name to: Niagara Hospice.
