Cindy Totten

Cindy Totten, went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2019. She was born in Buffalo on March 18, 1951 to the late Geneva Netzley.

Cindy graduated in 1969 from Akron Central Schools and married her husband Duane Totten on April 28,1973. She worked on and off as a school crossing guard.  Cindy was an avid bowler, enjoyed gardening, and was an excellent baker. She  took great joy not only in baking for family but for others as well. Her specialty was making fancy cakes for special occasions. She considered her dogs, the late Beau and Buster a part of her family.

Loving wife of Duane Totten, beloved mother of Andrew (Tanya) Totten. Special relationships with Alec Short, Trevor Short, Lucas Wagner and Stacey Hess. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive Cindy. Baby Sarah predeceases her.

Friends and relatives may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue where a funeral service will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. The family would appreciate memorials made in Cindy’s name to: The Akron Fire Company, SPCA, Kidney Foundation, and the Diabetes Association.
