Vivian M. Hopkins

Vivian M. Hopkins passed away on January 7, 2017. She was born in Akron, NY  on February 21, 1928 to the late Gordon and Eva (Rudolph) Pagels.

Vivian was the wife of the late Ellis Wade Hopkins for 64 years until his passing in February of 2011. She worked as a cafeteria cashier for the Akron School District for more than 25 years. Vivian enjoyed cooking and traveling. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Together Ellis and Vivian had four children; Cynthia Hopkins, Gordie (Amy) Hopkins, Thomas (Karen) Hopkins all of Akron, NY and Gary (Kate) Hopkins of Henderson, Nevada. Three grandchildren, Stacey (Matthew) Johnston, Rebecca Hopkins, Katie Hopkins, and numerous cousins also survive her.

Friends and relatives may call from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 12 at 11:00 a.m.
