Rita Smith

Rita Smith, of Buffalo passed peacefully at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, surrounded by her family on November 22, 2017. She was born in Batavia on August 26, 1947 to the late Arthur and Maggie (Ground) Smith.

She was a graduate of Akron High School and went on to a career In Nursing. Rita was a member of the Deer Clan. One of her favorite pastimes was playing bingo, but her greatest joy came from her family and the time that she spent with them.

Her children Letitia Cruz, Juanita (Nelson) Luciano and Joseph Cruz, all of Buffalo, survive Rita. 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and many cousins also survive her.

Traditional services were held on Saturday, November 25, 2017.
