Richard J. Raby

Richard Raby, went home to be with the Lord on October 30, 2018. Richard was born in North Tonawanda on June 3, 1945 to the late John and Dorothy (Flatau) Raby.

Richard was a 1963 graduate of North Tonawanda High School. Upon graduating, he honorably served in the United States Air Force. A few years ago, he retired from Brink's which is when he took up bicycling and spent more time boating on the Niagara River. He always enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching air shows, and N.A.S.C.A.R.

His wife, Wendy (Fitzsimmons) Raby; a brother, David (Patricia) Raby; his children, John and Laura survive Richard. His grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive him.

Friends and relatives may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue. A Funeral Service will take place at 1 pm at the Tonawanda Indian Baptist Church, 565 Bloomingdale Rd., Basom on Tuesday. The family would appreciate donations in Richard's memory to a charity of one's choice.
