Lydia "Lee" Ormsby

Lydia "Lee" Ormsby passed into the hands of the Lord on July 3, 2019 at the age of 87 while at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL.  She was born in Brooklyn, NY to the Late Armando and Eligia (Supulvida) Davila on December 13, 1931.

Lydia met U.S. Navy mechanic, Russell Ormsby. They  married in 1953 and settled in Akron, NY. where they raised their family together. Lydia later worked in health care prior to moving to Sun City Center, FL where she enjoyed yard work and decorating. Lydia was preceded in death by nine siblings and by her husband Russell in 1975.

Lydia is survived by her two sons, Russell Jr. (Kim) Ormsby and Alan (Cheryl) Ormsby; three of her twelve siblings, Aida Artanis, Rachel Gallagher, and Gloria Cuves.  She also enjoyed the love of five grandchildren: Jaci Nielsen, Jennifer Salmon,  Aaron, Rusty, and Robert Ormsby; six great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to The National Kidney Foundation.
