Lois Beverly (Thayer) Shrock

Lois Beverly Shrock (nee Thayer), went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2019. She was born in Akron, New York on June 20, 1939 to the late Forest (Frosty) and Gladys (Jerome) Thayer.

Lois graduated in 1957 from Akron Central Schools. She married her husband of over sixty years, Marvin Shrock on October 4, 1958. Lois was a long time member of the High Point Community Church and Women's Glow. She enjoyed decorating and cooking but her passion was music. She received great joy from singing at church and in many nursing homes. She loved her family deeply and cherished the time they spent together.

Loving wife of Marvin Shrock; beloved mother Terry Domon Shrock, Randy Shrock, Ricky (Sybille) Shrock, Ronnie (Dodie) Shrock and Tracey Olszewski Shrock. Cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren: Christine, John, Renee, Russell, Steven, Mark, Ronnie Jr., David Jr. (Brittany) and Tristan; and four great grandchildren: Trey, Madison, Levi, and Charlotte Lou. A sister-in-law, Ila Thayer as well as many other relatives survive Lois. A sister, Joyce Caleb and two brothers, Don and William Thayer predecease her.

Friends and relatives may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and to 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. at the High Point Church, 1163 Main Street, Corfu, NY 14036.
