Emma Woodruff

Emma Woodruff passed away on March 18, 2017. She was born in Akron, NY on June 13, 1936 to the late Frank A. and Nellie (Montgomery) Brownschidle.

Emma earned a Bachelor's Degree from University at Buffalo and worked as a Medical Technologist for ECMC. She was a member of The Akron-Newstead and Cheektowaga Senior Centers. Emma enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crafts and traveling and was a collector of many things.

Emma's daughter, Nova (Larry Janiszewski) Schlager of Akron; three grandchildren, Jacquelyn (Anthony) Marino of Cheektowaga, Ryan Schlager of Akron and Lindsey Schlager of Akron and great grandson, Anthony Marino survive her.

Friends and relatives may call from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at The First United Methodist Church, 7 Church Street, Akron, NY.
