David Carney Obituary

David F. Carney of Basom, passed peacefully at the Buffalo VA Medical Center, on December 4, 2018. He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on July 4,1947 to the late Ernest and Garnet (Windom) Carney.

He grew up in West Virginia and served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. David loved working with his hands and had a knack for fixing mechanical things and therefore worked most of his life as a handyman. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Annette (Ground) Carney. A daughter, Shannon Timms; a brother, Larry B, Carney; a granddaughter, Violet and several nieces and nephews survive him.
