Arnold Stahl

February 27, 1938 ~ October 18, 2017 (age 79) 79 Years Old

Arnold Stahl, of Wolcottsville passed away on October 18, 2017. He was born on February 27, 1938 in Royalton, NY to the late Fred and Viola (Mietz) Stahl.

 A devoted farmer all of his life. Arnie raised beef and dairy heifers. He married Janet Schleef in 1962. They had five daughters and owned and operated A & J's Country Store together for over 10 years. Arnie will be remembered most as owner/operator of Stahl Brothers, Inc, a milk hauling business that he ran with his brother. He drove for 48 years and then passed down that legacy to his daughter, son-in-law, and  2 grandsons. He was a life member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville and a member of the Wolcottsville Fire Department for over 30 years. Arnie was an avid John Deere collector who really cherished his tractors.

Beloved husband of 55 years of Janet (Schleef) Stahl; loving father of Lorretta (Lee) Criswell, Lisa (Brian) VanBuren, Denise (Verne) Stahl, and Peggy (Bob) Stahl; dear brother of Norma Rehwaldt, and brother in law of Shirley and Cindy Stahl. Eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive Arnie. He is predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca (James) Earle, granddaughter, Marianne Earle, two brothers, Albert and Charles Stahl, and a sister, Dorothy "Jean" (Flevie) Danielewicz.

Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville. Memorial donations may be made in Arnie's memory to Niagara Hospice and Trinity Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville.
