Roger Alan Perry

Roger Alan Perry, born on May 28, 1934 in Batavia, New York, peacefully passed away on April 15, 2024. Roger's life was full of service and dedication; to his country, his community, and most importantly, his family. 

After honorably serving in the U.S. Air Force and the Air Force Reserves, Roger embarked on a career in education. He was an Auto Service instructor at Orleans Niagara BOCES for many fruitful years, imparting his knowledge and passion to countless students. Roger's commitment to his community extended far beyond his professional life. He was a faithful member of the Akron Free Methodist Church and served with the Pembroke and Indian Falls Fire Departments for over 58 years. In his leisure time, Roger enjoyed golfing and hunting. He owned a hobby farm and had a particular fondness for mowing the Dande Farms Golf Course after his retirement. 

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Linda (Chamberlain) Perry, their sons Kenley (Kristen) Perry, Kyle (Aurora) Perry, Russell (Marquette) Perry and Susan (Robert) Lapp. His legacy will continue to be cherished by his grandchildren Hope, Brant, Griffin, Tate, Emmerson, Elliott, Zoey, Jackson, Taylor, Troy, Kayden, and Atlas. Roger is also survived by his brother Roy Perry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Erford and Lorraine Perry, and his brother Robert Perry. 

A visitation will take place from 2:00-4:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at One Church, 6 Scotland Rd., Akron, NY 14001, where a Funeral Service will start at 4:00 PM. The love and joy that Roger brought into our lives will forever remain in our hearts. His dedication to service and love for his family serves as a beautiful testament to the life he led.
