Dorathy J. Sliker, a spirited and generous soul, passed away on March 11, 2024, at the age of 71. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 9, 1952, to her loving parents, Donald and Ada Sliker, both of whom preceded her in death. Rooted in her humble beginnings on a farm in Ransomville, a fondness for horses was instilled in Dorathy, a passion that she carried throughout her life.
Dorathy was a skilled tool and die maker, a profession she pursued in the automotive industry until her retirement. Although she was passionate about her work, it was her hobbies and personal interests that truly defined her. Dorathy had a fondness for yellow roses and also loved collecting bunnies, a hobby that brought her immense joy. A woman of faith, Dorathy was very involved with her church in Florida where she lived for 17 years.
What mattered most to Dorathy was her family. She was a steadfast presence in the lives of her loved ones. Her spirited nature and boundless generosity will be remembered by everyone who had the fortune to know her. Dorathy's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and the joy of living authentically.
Loving mother of Dee Hernandez and Eric (Melissa) Waterbury; cherished grandmother of Zack Waterbury, Xander and Violet Hernandez, and Baylee, Jordan, Kieara, Caidin, Peyton, and Brynleigh Waterbury; dear sister of Donna (late Dennis) VanHorn and Diane (Tom) Armagost. Dorathy is also survived by her fur baby "Boo".
