Donald F. Duzen, born on the 6th of January 1926 in Buffalo, NY, passed away peacefully on the 10th of April, 2024. A proud resident of Corfu, New York, Donald was a man of great character and strength.
He was a dedicated machinist by trade, having retired from his position as Superintendent at Arcata Graphics in Depew, New York. A man of many talents and interests, Donald was an avid Buffalo Bills and NY Yankees fan. He played hockey until he was 55 years old and enjoyed the camaraderie of bowling leagues. Donald honorably served on the USS Langley during WWII, demonstrating his deep commitment to his country.
A beloved father, cherished grandfather, and proud great-grandfather, his family was the cornerstone of his life. He leaves behind his children Kathie (Craig) Blake, David (late Debbie) Duzen, Dale (Karen) Fennell, Kimberly (Dave) Schamberg, Corey (Jill) Duzen; his grandchildren Scott (Channing) Blake, Aaron Blake, Richard Fennell III, Lindsay Fennell, Morgan (Cristian) Contreras, Breanne Duzen, Amber Duzen; and 12 great-grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elsie Duzen, and his beloved wife of many years, Wilma Duzen as well as his sister, Frances (late Elder) Nordvik.
Calling hours for Donald will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 PM. A Burial with Military Honors will take place on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Western New York National Cemetery in Corfu, NY.
