Rita Kaufman

Rita Kaufman of Akron, January 13, 2018 after a short Illness. She was born in Akron, NY on June 21.1939 to the late Lloyd and Rachel (Criswell) Clark.

Rita attended Akron Schools and then married the late George Kaufman in 1957. She worked at Whiting Roll- Up Door for over 42 years, retiring in 2015. She enjoyed the country life, especially watching the deer and foxes around her home. Rita loved gardening and her trips to the casino. She cherished the time she spent with her great- granddaughters.

Her children, Cindy Berry and Robert Kaufman; a granddaughter, Erica Swatsworth; two great grandchildren, Alexis Berry and Arianna Swatsworth survive Rita. She is also survived by her sisters, Pat Leis, Judy Livingston, Sandy Fehr, Karen Stanley as well as several nieces and nephews. A granddaughter, Cassandra Taylor predeceases Rita.

Friends and relatives may call from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron. A Funeral Service will take place immediately following. Please consider donations in Rita's memory to the SPCA.
