Michael E. Roetzer

Michael E. Roetzer, 62, of Akron, passed away on March 7, 2017. He was born in Buffalo, NY to the late George and Nancy (Ware) Roetzer.
 
Michael worked in the family business,  Amherst Paving, his entire adult life. He was co-owner until his retirement in 2013. He married Judith Szabat in 1976 and they raised three children together. Mike loved snowmobiling, outdoor activities, watching his children play sports, and spending time at his cabin where he enjoyed his greatest passion, hunting. 
 
Beloved husband of Judy Roetzer; loving father of Michael E. (Lisa) Roetzer II, Ryan  (Veronica) Roetzer and Brittany (Mike) Dean; grandfather of Jack  Roetzer and Elliott Dean; brother of David (Marion) Roetzer, Mark (Deb) Roetzer and Marilyn (Howard) Schaeffer. Mike's mother-in-law, Mary Barone, sister-in-law,  Diana Zito, brother-in-law, John (Cheryl) Szabat and many nieces and nephews also survive him. He is predeceased by his brother, Ronald (Fran) Roetzer.
 
 A visitation will be held at High Point Community Church, 1163 Main Street, Corfu, NY on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service following at Noon.
