Chantel Ground

Chantel Ground, 29 of Basom, June 29, 2016. She was born in Buffalo on November 28, 1986 to the late Freddie Ground and Rae Jean (Jonathan) General.

Chantel was a graduate of Akron Central High School and went on to work at the Genesee ARC in Batavia. She really loved to work and enjoyed watching Lacrosse in her spare time. Chantel was a proud member of the Turtle Clan. She was a people lover and enjoyed being around people, especially her family members. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Besides her mother, four sisters survive Chantel: Heather Ground, Hope Ground, Trisha General, and Raven Ninham all of Basom; a brother: Keenan Ninham of Basom; stepfather, Robert Ninham and Long House brother, Lonnie (Yubb) Abrams. Four nieces and one nephew also survive her.  

Friends and relatives may call on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 6990 Meadville Road on the Tonawanda Indian Reservation until the time of the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016. A Long House Service will follow at 2 p.m.
