Catherine Clara Badding

Catherine Clara Badding, 88 passed away peacefully at Brother's of Mercy on April 12, 2017. She was born in Clarence, NY to the late Edward and Catherine (Lauer) Moulin and was the youngest of eight children.

She attended Neumann High School Class of 1946 where she was a cheerleader and sang in the choir. Catherine is the wife of the late Bernard L. Badding  who passed away in January  of 2009. She married Bernie, the love of her life, on June 19, 1948 and they raised five children together in Cheektowaga and attended St. Aloysius Church. They moved to Akron in 1988 and Catherine became very involved with The Women's Guild and the Ministry of Praise at St. Teresa's Church. Brothers of Mercy was her home for the last 1 1/2 years. We want to thank all of those who provided loving, compassionate care for our mom.

She  is survived by her children; Judy (Tom) Drake, Nancy (late Russ) Simon, Bruce (Rita) Badding, Jeff (Maureen) Badding, and Sue (Pete) Demas; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Murphy and many nieces and nephews

Friends and relatives may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC., 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron, NY 14001. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at St. Teresa's R.C. Church at 10:00 a.m. Please assemble at church. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made in Catherine's memory to: Brothers of Mercy Hospice Unit, 10570 Bergtold Rd., Clarence, NY 14031.
